Tributes for Obidigbo Uzoamaka Gloria
“Every memory shared keeps her spirit alive”
Tribute from Her First Daughter (Mmesoma)
Mummy, you were my best friend, my safe place, and the one person who believed in me even, when I didn’t believe in myself. Watching you raise us alone after Daddy died taught me what real strength looks like. You carried our world on your shoulders and made it feel weightless for us.
You gave your last, even when you had nothing. You fed people like it was your ministry, and you smiled through every hardship, lifting others even when you needed lifting.
I still hear your voice in my head—praying, encouraging, correcting, loving. Thank you for teaching me to pray. Thank you for teaching me to rise. I will miss you every single day of my life. I love you, Mummy.

Tribute from Her Second Daughter (Chiemelie)
You were our everything, Mummy. You weren’t just our mother—you were our father, our teacher, our counsellor, and our light. Even in pain, you carried yourself with beauty, grace, and strength that humbled everyone around you.
Your laughter could brighten the darkest day, and your food could heal the deepest sadness. You gave all you had—and then gave more.
Your sacrifices paved our paths, and your love made us whole. I’ll miss our late-night talks, your endless prayers over my life, and the way you always knew just what to say. You’ll always be my biggest inspiration. Rest well, Queen Mother.
Chiemelie
Tribute from Her Youngest Daughter (Chinelo)
Mummy, how do I live in a world without you? You were my comfort, my backbone, my loudest cheerleader. Every time I stumbled, you were there—with love and truth—never letting me forget who I am.
You taught me how to love God, how to be kind, and how to give without holding back. You always said, “Do good and keep moving,” and that’s how you lived.
You loved us fiercely and deeply, and every sacrifice you made built the woman I’m becoming. I miss your hugs, your songs, your dancing in the kitchen. I miss everything. Thank you for being my mother. I’ll carry you in my heart forever.
Chinelo
Tribute to My Dearest Sister and Mother
To my dearest sister and Mother, (Late Mrs Gloria Uzoamaka Chinelo Obidigbo).
Sister, though you may be gone but your memories and spirit will live on forever in my heart. Your love, kindness, and generosity inspired me everyday. I cherish the memories of our laughter, our tears, and our countless moments of joy and adventure together. You were more than just a sister; you were my best friend, my confidant, my gist partner and my guiding light. Your passing leaves a void in my life that can never be filled, but I take comfort in knowing that you’re now at peace. I’ll continue to celebrate your life, your love, and your legacy. Rest in peace, dear sister, I’ll miss you forever. With all my love,

Tribute from her Sister In-law (Ijeamaka)
My Dear Sweet Sister Uzo, You will be so fondly missed. Your departure has left such a void in us but the Lord knows best. Sister Uzo, you led such an exemplary life worthy of emulation. You were a mother to us and to all especially after the passing of Mama. Every time I saw you, you were always surrounded by women who loved you and were loyal to you. This speaks volumes of the powerful matriarch that you were. You were also so accepting of me and welcomed me to the family with open arms. You always wanted the best for me and for your nephew and nieces. Even on your sick bed you worried about me during my health scare, wanting to carry the burden for the whole family. It is well. Uzoamaka, Ada Ogbuaku! You came, you saw, you conquered. May your soul rest in peace!

A Tribute to My Mother-in-Law
It’s hard to find the words, but I will try. Barely three years ago, I had my first opportunity to meet you. Sadly, life, work, and other pursuits kept getting in the way. Still, I held onto the belief that one day, we would meet properly, joyfully and meaningfully. Though we only shared a few video calls, your spirit left a lasting impression on me. I remember your favourite saying “Jehovah bu Eze” and how you said it with such conviction. When our son, your first direct grandson, was born, it marked the beginning of something beautiful. We had plans, big plans for you to come be with us, to share in that joy, to experience the life we were building. We were arranging your health insurance, preparing everything for your visit. I imagined the moment I would finally see you in person, the joy of us coming together as one family. We dreamed of celebrating Christmas together in Obosi, creating memories in the warmth of your presence. My family had already embraced you. They called you our Pillar in Obosi, a title that extended to the whole of Anambra State. The stories of your warm reception, your strength, and your kindness continue to echo in our conversations. And now, you are gone. Suddenly. Too soon. The most painful stories are the ones where there were so many dreams, dreams that never had the chance to come true. This pain will linger for a long time. But so will your memory. You have found a home in our hearts, and there, you will remain forever. Rest in peace, Mama. You are deeply loved and sorely missed. “Mmadu anaghi anwu anwụ n’obi onye ya.”
